Daniel Carlock

My name is Daniel Carlock. I’m a former Student Pastor, Ocean Camp Director, and Reform School Director with over ten years of ESL teaching experience in China. My wife, 王金华 (Anna), and I are currently based in China and preparing for a long-term move to southern Thailand. Our desire is to serve and make a lasting impact for the Gospel among families and communities there. Right now we are actively exploring opportunities with Christian schools and ministries as the first step — roles that allow us to live in the region, build real relationships, and serve faithfully.

I served as a Student Pastor, Ocean Camp Director, and Reform School Director in the U.S. for years, walking with young people and families through faith, discipleship, and real-life challenges. I currently work as an ESL teacher in China, which has given me a deep appreciation for cross-cultural ministry and the needs of families raising children in complex environments. My wife Anna and I share a burden for families — especially those facing isolation or socio-economic uncertainty. We want to serve in southern Thailand in a way that points people to Christ through genuine relationship and presence. We are taking this one faithful step at a time: first relocating, becoming rooted in the local community, and serving through a Christian school or ministry. From that foundation we will grow whatever the Lord opens next.

Many of these positions come with little or no formal salary, so we need monthly partners who will cover the majority of our living costs. We are taking it one faithful step at a time — first becoming rooted, then growing whatever the Lord opens next.
